Orthodontics

What is orthodontics?

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that corrects teeth and jaws that are positioned improperly. Misaligned teeth and teeth that do not fit together correctly are harder to keep clean, are at risk of being lost early due to tooth decay and periodontal disease. More prominent orthodontic cases may result in putting an extra strain on a chewing muscle which in turn, will make way for headaches, TMJ syndrome, neck, shoulder and pack pain. In most cases crocked and misaligned teeth may reduce a patient’s self-esteem, social, personal and professional life.
The benefits of orthodontic treatment include a healthier mouth, a more pleasing appearance, and teeth that are more likely to last a lifetime.

Who needs orthodontics?

Only your dentist or orthodontist can determine whether you can benefit from orthodontics. Based on diagnostic tools that include a full medical and dental health history, a clinical exam, plaster models of your teeth, and special X-rays and photographs, an orthodontist or dentist can decide whether orthodontics are recommended, and develop a treatment plan that’s right for you. There are two types of orthodontic treatment using fixed appliances or removable appliances.

I am using my daughters account to write this review, as I dont have one! My experience with Premier has been nothing but perfect. Louis and Milda are meticulous professionals. I had two front teeth implants and the end results were stunning; quite frankly, I couldn't have hoped for a better result. Coupled with the relaxed and very friendly atmosphere, you couldn't find a better practice anywhere. Will never go elsewhere! Many, many thanks, Steve Ebdon.
